Pineapple Upside down Cake Recipe
Ingredients
-1/4 Cup of butter
-2/3 Cup brown sugar
-4 Slices pineapple in can (Dole 8oz can)
-4 cherries
-1 1/3 Cups all purpose flour
-1 Cup of granulated sugar
-1/3 Cup of vegetable oil
-1 1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
-1 1/2 Teaspoon salt
-3/4 Cup of milk
-1 Large egg
-1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
-1/4 Teaspoon almond extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a cup or bowl melt 1/4 cup of butter
In an 8-inch round pan, pour melted butter to cover the whole bottom of the pan
It should look like this
Now add 2/3 cup of brown sugar and spread it
It should look like this
Add the pineapple’s with out the juice. In the can, there is exactly four pieces to cover the bottom of the pan
In the middle of the pineapple circle’s add one cherry to each circle
It should look like this. Now set the pan aside
In a bowl add 1 1/3 cup of flour
Add 1 cup of granulated sugar
Add 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
Add 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Add 3/4 cup of milk
Add 1 large egg
Add 1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
Last but not least add 1/4 Teaspoon of almond extract
Now blend all the ingredients together
Then add the mixture to the pan with the other ingredients
Place inside your oven and bake for 50 minutes
After you see that the cake is done ( check with a tooth pick) Place a plate ontop of the pan and flip it. Leave it flipped for about 10 minutes
Slowly left off the pan and WALA! Here you have it! When i tell you this cake is amazing, you HAVE to make it to believe me!
