Easy Cheese Empanadas Recipes
Ingredients
-1 Pack of frozen pastry dough
-2 to 3 slices of cheese
-Cooking oil
You can find this at your local super market! Its only $1.47 and you can use it for so many other things
On a pastry slice, place your choice of cheese , turkey, ham or meat you would like in the middle. I use regular slice cheese but I have used meat, chicken or ham and turkey. I LOVE cheese!
Wet your finger with water
Swipe your finger along the edge of the pastry slice.
This will help seal it when you close the Empanada and prevents the cheese from coming out
To close it, join both ends together
Press together enough that you can tell it’s sealed
Next with a fork press along the edge of the pastry slice
It should look like this
Then flip to the other side and repeat the process
Heat up a pan with oil.
Once it’s pretty hot, slide in the Empanada. With a spoon scoop oil on top of the Empanada.This makes it bubble up and cooks it faster
Turn and let cook. It should take about 2 minutes to fry
Here you have Empanadas. Something quick to cook! It also looks as if you did something complicated lol! Your loved ones will be impressed. WARNING: Cheese will be very hot.
