Ingredients
- • 2 Yuca roots
- • 1 Egg
- • 1 Tbsp of butter
- • 1 Tsp of salt
- • ½ Tsp of sugar
- • ¼ Cup of Anise
- • Frying oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel and Shred the yuca roots in a bowl.
- 2. Add egg, butter, salt, sugar and anise. Mix all ingredients together till smooth and set aside.
- 3. In pan over medium-high heat, add enough frying oil to cover the arepitas midway.
- 4. Once the oil is hot, with a spoon (table spoon), scoop some of the mixture to cover the spoon and drop into the oil.
- 5. Fry the arepitas for about 5-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- 6. Place on paper towel to absorb the draining oil.
- 7. Enjoy!
